This course will cover the essentials of anger management and effective communication from a person-centred perspective. There will also be an overview on modern restorative methodologies that are proving successful in different care and educational environments.
Learning Outcomes
•An introduction to social pedagogy and person-centered critical reflection.
•An understanding of anger and how it impacts on young people and those that care for them.
•Gaining an appreciation of the internal and external locus of control and how that will impact on young people’s understanding of their anger and the responses of others.
•To assist staff and young people understand how to move forward after difficult situations and the various models to assist everyone.
•To look at restorative approaches that can assist everyone involved to manage anger but also to move forward and achieve better outcomes through dialogue.
Assessment
Delegates will participate in group exercises, discussion and debate. Training delivery will be supported by power point presentation, handouts and written exercises.
Certification
All delegates will be issued with a certificate upon completion of this course
