Aims

For delegates to understand the importance of good communication in the care setting and to be effective communicators.

Learning Outcomes

Understand why communication is essential in the care setting
Discuss potential barriers to communication
Explore different methods of communicating in the care setting
Understand the importance of good record keeping
Identify best practice in relation to GSCC Code of Practice
Relate communication processes to current legislation compliant with the Data Protection Act and Caldicott Principles
