• Be made aware of national strategies, guidelines and best practice
• Understand and cater for the needs of the dying
• Identify common concerns of the dying
• Understand the physiological needs of the dying in the final stages of life
• Identify the clinical signs and symptoms of impending death
• Be able to care for a deceased person
• Understand how to support the bereaved family, carers, staff and friends
• Understand all aspects of dying in a care or home setting
Assessment
Delegates will undertake an assessment of learning at the end of this course.
Certification
Delegates will be issued with a certificate upon successful completion of this course
