Aims

To introduce the delegate to first aid in the workplace, appointed person responsibilities, and basic techniques used to treat minor injuries and preserve life.

Learning Outcomes

- Understand how to use basic first aid in the workplace
- Know what their responsibilities are in relation to first aid
- Identify what to do in the event of an emergency
- understand and practice basic first aid techniques
- Know how to respond when a person is bleeding, choking and/or suffers an electric shock and/or stops breathing
