Medication administration training gives healthcare professionals the skills to correctly and safely administer medication to people in their care.

A care assistant should only administer medication that they have been trained to give.

A medication administration certificate lasts for three years from the date you complete the training. After three years, you can take a renewal test and extend your certificate for another three years.
